Julio Cortázar

Julio Cortázar (1914–1984) was among the most influential and prolific writers of contemporary Latin American literature. His work includes short stories, novels, political essays, and poetry. Born in Brussels, he was raised outside Buenos Aires and later moved to Paris, where he achieved his greatest success, which included the 1963 novel Hopscotch.
